major sales to ALCOA, PPG and other large customers. Established a formal

Fred was a major influence on the growth and success of this industry-leading
manufacturer of radio communication systems. He built the international
sales organization from virtually nothing into 40% of the company's
revenues. He effectively managed and grew both EFJ's direct system sales
and extensive dealer network. Fred provided continuity in leadership
and a stabilizing presence during four changes in company ownership.
